Apple Study Acrylic on Canvas paper in progress

Several store bought apples on the counter caught my attention as  an obvious  subject for a large still life painting so I arranged two of those  apples and took about  50 photos. From those photos I  came up with a great looking backilt setting for those two apples. Above is the apple on the left from that photo in this in-progress study, on canvas paper. I am using the apple  as the practice run. The larger canvas painting will have both apples

One Strawberry - Acrylic 5x7 clayboard panel

Posting an in progress small acrylic. It's been quite a challenge to get a start  to my satisfaction. Hopefully now  I'm on my way.
I'm very much looking forward to start on a few of many  new ideas that have inspired me.One of which is  sea-sky scape , looking  ssw, over Lake Pontchartrain Causeway,  to a   New Orleans  skyline in backdrop, another would be  a  series  of  Angel, a mixed maltese-poodle. I will try to start one of these soon and juggle it with  a few other in-progress pieces.

Pair of Waterspouts

Back to my roots and field, Weather forecasting.
My roots as a life long observer, clouds  particularly the summer time versions, of cumulus, cumulonimbus, and so on that are those that develop out of convective (rising )air currents, which  lead to development of summertime thunderstorms, and if conditions are just right, over warm bodies of water,  sometimes the development of waterspouts
