One day recently in taking photos for future painting projects, in an instant I had noticed a photo op .Ever since, one of those pictures captured started an obsession with painting and completing it, to the exclusion of all other simultaneous unfinished pieces. Here is where I am with it now

The Marsh Painting,16 x 20 on canvas


More layers and new work on foreground.
Additional layers to follow and decision as to whether or not  to include the egret in this painting, or just start another painting ,
as the storm in this piece has taken over as the focal point.
The decision was made to go forward  with Egret .

Marsh


The background to the marsh painting is nearly completed.
I have revised it to include details of the cumulonimbus thunderstorm clouds, clustered in the distance.
The far end of the clouds from this vantage point  fade into the distance near the horizon.
The beveled look  to the  horizon is not actually painted that way.
Will adjust and correct to true view in the in the  image software at next posting.
